A Day at Sagebrook
Early Years
Each day at Sagebrook flows with purpose and joy.

From the moment they arrive, children feel secure, valued, and ready to engage. The rhythm of the day supports focus, movement, collaboration, and rest – all at a child’s pace.

Arrival and Transition

Children check in, organize their belongings, and ease into the day through open-ended materials and simple routines.

Circle Time and Connection

The class gathers for songs, mindfulness, calendar and weather exploration, and a daily question that sparks reflection and dialogue.

Block Building
Block Building

A signature part of our approach, every child participates in block building. Whether working alone or in groups, children construct, deconstruct, and reimagine the world around them using natural materials and dramatic play.

Learning Centers

Children rotate through thoughtfully designed centers that support literacy, numeracy, exploration, art, and fine motor development.

Snack and story

Nutrition and conversation go hand in hand. As children enjoy healthy snacks, they also enjoy read-alouds that build connection and curiosity.

Rest and Rejuvenation
Rest and Rejuvenation

After active engagement, children rest on soft mats with quiet music, calming visuals, or gentle books. This moment of stillness supports emotional regulation and well-being.

Outdoor Discovery
Outdoor Discovery

The outdoors becomes a lab for gross motor development, dramatic play, and nature exploration. Children build with large blocks, experiment with materials, and engage in running games that spark movement and imagination.
